Thames Coromandel District Council orthophotography 

 
UAV Mapping was engaged to capture orthophotography for urban areas around the Coromandel peninsular in 2014-15.  Over 500GB of raw RGB imagery was collected. The aerial platform utilized was a manned light aircraft (Cessna 185).

Ruapehu Alpine Lifts (RAL) 

 
In March 2017, UAV Mapping NZ, Prepared a high definition ground model for Whakapapa and Turoa Ski Fields. The large area and uneven terrain made traditional surveying practices impractical so it was determined that high accuracy aerial photography would be the best method to capture this data and create the 3d model. The flying was undertaken using cameras mounted on a manned helicopter. The resulting high definition photography and 3D ground model produced, has been used on multiple projects including the new Sky Waka Gondola at Whakapapa Ski field.

Waikato River Erosion 

In 2017, UAV Mapping NZ, conducted an aerial capture in order to provide, High resolution georeferenced, digital imagery and topographic data for an inventory of erosion sites from the Taupo Gates to Ngaruawahia on the Waikato River.
Minimum resolution was 20cm or below. We provided ortho-imagery that can be readily used in ArcGIS. Measuring length, width, height, depth, volume, and slope angle of slip features >10msq.
 
The raw data collected over the whole project was 55,000 images.
The time estimate to capture the whole area was 10 days, UAV Mapping NZ, finished the data collection within the 10-day period.  The survey area is shown here.
 

In February 2019, UAV Mapping NZ were engaged by Beca to conduct an Aerial survey and supply of digital imagery for a 30km stretch of SH25 and the foreshore, north of Thames, Coromandel. Flights to be conducted within 1hr either side of low tide. Coverage of Low water line to 100m East of highway edge. Where the highway is inland and 100m west of road edge. UAV Mapping NZ utilized a manned helicopter to provided high resolution imagery with associated metadata at <5cm GSD. The Raw data was used for several outputs for the storm recovery works. NZTA being the end user.
